Interesting eco-friendly concept

There aren't too many ways to charge a mobile phone, but in the future this might change radically. One of the new methods to bring a handset to life could be from your bra - in case you're a woman, of course. A bra-charger concept that was recently presented in Japan shows us this is (somehow) doable.

Created by Triumph International Japan Ltd., a well-known lingerie maker, the new concept combines a normal bra with a solar-powered charger that can be used for a mobile phone as well as for an iPod. So what we have here is a charger that's not only weird (in a good way), but also eco-friendly, thanks to the solar panel integrated inside the bra. In case you think the charger might cause an uncomfortable feeling, you're wrong: Yuko Ishida, the model who posed for the new Triumph geeky piece of lingerie, said to Reuters that she had no problems with it and that it actually felt comfortable.

Of course, in order to make this charger functional, the bra must be worn without additional clothes, otherwise the sun won't be able to charge any battery. This being said, the green lingerie-charger is, for the moment at least, not really practical - unless you go to the beach or someplace where wearing only your bra is normal. In fact, going to the beach with this sort of bra is not at all recommended, since water must stay away from its electronic components.

According to Triumph, the new bra will not be commercialized in the near future, so a possible price for it was not revealed. Anyway, the whole idea is surely interesting. If the electronic parts of the charger could somehow be completely isolated as to become waterproof, then the concept might turn out to be a real success.
