It's not a secret anymore that Microsoft has already started work on a Lumia 1320 successor, and since development advances at a really fast pace, new information reaches the web on a weekly basis.

Now thanks to some leaked benchmark results, we finally get a closer look at the specs of the new phablet, which until now appears to be the official successor to the Lumia 1320.

Information that was provided by sources close to the matter earlier this month reveals that Lumia 1330 could come with a 14-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front one, as well as with 32 GB of storage space, most likely without card support for extended storage.

Some of the details leaked today appear to confirm these specs but also reveal new ones, which suggest that Microsoft is very close to launching this new device.

5.7-inch display and 32 GB of storage space

The Lumia 1330 will fall in the phablet category, so the device will boast a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 719 pixels. The same thing has also been confirmed in today's leak, according to NPU, so chances are that these are exactly the screen specs of the upcoming Microsoft phone.

As far as CPU is confirmed, the leaked benchmark results point to a quad-core CPU and Qualcomm Adreno 305 GPU unit, but also to 32 GB of storage space, which is exactly the same amount as originally rumored.

As for the cameras, the benchmark reveals a 12-megapixel camera capable of shooting photos at 4176x3120 px and a 4.8-megapixel front unit that shoots at 2592x1936 px.

No details regarding the launch date

Microsoft has remained completely tight-lipped on this new project until now, but all these leaked details point to an imminent release as part of Microsoft's efforts to expand its smartphone lineup.

People close to the matter have revealed that Microsoft could indeed launch new phone models in early 2015, and one possible month to witness the debut of these projects is March. Redmond will attend the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, taking place from March 2 to 5, so this could be the moment when several new phones could make their public debut.

Flagships, on the other hand, won't debut until fall 2015, some sources say, as Microsoft wants to ship them with Windows Phone 10 installed by default. The Windows 10 rollout, which is very likely to include a new version of the smartphone platform, could begin in late summer or early fall 2015.
