The company previously declared the problem solved

Since Microsoft first introduced the Achievements system for its home console, a lot of gamers have become borderline obsessed with the concept and with the Gamerscore they can achieve, both on the older 360 and on the new Xbox One.

Unfortunately, a number of them are at the moment unable to boost their numbers and brag about their score to their friends online because the next-gen device is currently affected by a rather insidious issue which makes some Achievements stay locked despite the fact that players have managed to achieve the conditions that are required to gain access to them.

A new thread has popped up on the official forums that Microsoft maintains, with fresh reports about unlockable content.

Previously, Microsoft posted an official message saying that the issue had been fully solved.

A representative stated that “The team resolved the issue w/ Achievements unlocking on Xbox One. Earned one that didn't unlock yet? It will but it might take a few days.”

It’s unclear how long “a few days” represent for the company, but to many of those who are reporting their problems with the Achievements system, the fact that a clear timeline is not offered is unacceptable.

The Xbox One has been lagging in terms of sales when compared to its chief rival, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, and such interaction with gamers will not be to Microsoft’s advantage in the coming months.

The company has cut the price of its next-gen platform to 399 dollars or Euro and eliminated the Kinect motion tracking system from the retail package, but it has failed to boost its sales enough to compete in the United States.

A recent rumor suggests that another price cut is being planned before Christmas, but it’s unclear whether it can be relied upon to deliver a solid increase in terms of sales.

Microsoft also announces that it will launch a Madden NFL 15 bundle on August 26, which will include a normal console, the game, and access to special packs for the Ultimate Team mode.

Later in the year, gamers will also gain access to another bundle for the exclusive Sunset Overdrive from Insomniac Games, which will include the white Xbox One console that was previously only offered to Microsoft employees.

The company has also promised that a number of big announcements about the next-gen device will be made during Gamescome 2014, including the reveal of the multiplayer for the new Call of Duty.
